Who we are

Our Events

7 Days of Prayer

Twice a year, we take 7 days to intentionally connect with God and reignite a hunger for His presence in our lives corporately.

As we refocus our attention on Jesus throughout the 7 days and pray, we believe our prayers will guide us into the next season of our lives and ministry as a church. This week usually incorporates daily, live, corporate prayer experiences and culminates with a celebratory worship experience.

Vision Offering

The Vision Offering is a significant annual event at Definition Church, where members come together to give over and above their tithes to make a positive impact on people's lives and support the church's vision of bringing healing and hope to the world.

This offering usually takes place on the second Sunday of December and emphasizes equal sacrifice rather than equal giving, encouraging everyone to participate regardless of the amount. The funds collected will support furthering the vision of Definition Church through various initiatives to meet both the practical and spiritual needs within the community and beyond.

Freedom Conference

This two-day conference solidifies the transformative Freedom experience, guiding attendees toward a victorious and abundant life in Christ while breaking free from the restraints of their past.

Freedom Conference is designed for individuals who have either participated in a Freedom group previously or are currently attending one. The sessions cover crucial themes such as lordship, rejection, purity, abuse, shame, fear, anger, and heaviness, enabling participants to move forward confidently, leaving behind their past and embracing the freedom and victory purchased by Christ.

252

The 252 Leadership Program is a discipleship initiative based on Luke 2:52. It aims to develop exceptional leaders while focusing on physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health.

Both Definition Youth and Definition College offer two separate tracks of 252 during the summer, helping both high school students and college students to develop intentional community, deepen their devotion to Jesus, engage in spiritual practices, and leverage both opportunities for service and mentorship. The program's ultimate goal is to help every student discover and fulfill their leadership potential, leading to positive behavior, enhanced perspective, academic success, and healthier peer relationships. We believe all students can become great leaders.

Kick Off

Kick-Off Day is a biannual event held in February and September. It's a day aimed at emphasizing the significance of meaningful relationships within church community.

Life change happens in the context of relationships, and we believe that we are better together as we journey together to become like Jesus. This special Sunday is both a celebration of groups and all group participants, as well as an invitation for anyone not in a group to actively engage in groups.

Giving Hope

Giving Hope, held annually in December, is aimed at providing families in need with a meaningful Christmas experience.

This event offers practical assistance to families in need and seeks to extend love, care, and the hope of Jesus to those who may otherwise miss out on the joy of the season. During this event, parents are invited to come personally pick out gifts for their children and wrap them while their children enjoy a memorable experience filled with music, snacks, and the Christmas story. In the weeks leading up to the Giving Hope event, the entire church is invited to participate in the generous event by donating gifts and wrapping supplies to bless these families.

Summer Jam

Summer Jam is a 4-day kids' experience held at the end of July or beginning of August, aimed at helping children from ages 3 to 5th grade understand how God's Word applies to their daily lives.

Each day is packed with exciting activities like games, snacks, music, object lessons, Bible stories, worship, and more, fostering a fun and educational environment. Summer Jam's focus on child development and theology allows kids to grow in their faith journey, fostering strong relationships among kids, parents, and leaders through intentional small groups and engaging activities. Summer Jam empowers children to move forward confidently in their own faith.

Child Dedication

Child Dedication at Definition Church is a special event where parents and guardians can commit to raising their children in the ways of God.

Inspired by Proverbs 22:6, Child Dedication signifies a partnership between parents and the church to support and guide children in their spiritual journey. The dedication process involves two parts: an intimate celebration for parents and their children on Saturday and a larger church-wide celebration during weekend experiences. This heartwarming occasion allows parents to publicly declare their commitment while we come alongside to offer encouragement and support throughout this journey of raising children in the faith.

Communion

Communion is a significant worship moment for us, typically observed once a month during the weekend experiences.

It holds deep spiritual meaning as we come together to remember, reflect upon, and celebrate the profound sacrifice of Jesus on the cross for our salvation, redemption, and sanctification. The bread symbolizes Christ's broken body, and the juice represents His blood shed for our sins. This time becomes a moment of reflection, repentance, and worship in our experiences.

Baptism

Baptism is a quarterly event that takes place during the weekend experiences. It is a powerful symbol of an inward spiritual change and serves as a public declaration of one's commitment to Jesus.

Before being baptized, participants are asked to register in advance and watch an informative video about baptism. They also acknowledge and are working towards aligning with our statement of faith and beliefs. The event itself occurs during the worship experience, where participants are publicly baptized in front of the congregation. We encourage them to invite loved ones and friends to witness this significant moment.

Ministry Partners

Cultivate Leadership Institute (CLI)

Cultivate Leadership Institute is a partnering organization that aims to equip individuals to become mature and healthy leaders.

Their vision is to cultivate the purpose and passion for leadership that God has placed in each individual. CLI offers three tracks: Leadership Track, Ministry Track, and Gap Year Track. They work with individuals, churches, and Christin-owned organizations wanting to discover their unique God-given purpose.

The Leadership and Ministry tracks are 24-month programs, and the Gap Year Track is a condensed 12-month program. Participants in all tracks receive comprehensive instruction, training, and guidance in the areas of leadership and ministry. Cultivate Leadership Institute’s focus on discovering one’s unique God-given purpose aligns with Definition Church’s vision to help others grow in their leadership capacity and become like Jesus in their leadership.
